My loving husband has my crow inside his wolf to keep it protected from any danger. He is currently hunting to feed me as I tidy our garden filled with our love, but he is taking longer than usual. I’m worried but I will wait a few more sun movements before I go looking for him.
“HELP” I hear his screams coming from the forest and him running towards me.
I run towards him as fast as I can
“You okay? Are you hurt”
“Yeah I’m fine but my wolf got killed”
He shows me his wolf mutilated and my crow dead.
*What did you do?” I cry hysterically
“A lion from your side of the family shape shifted and wanted to keep your crow for himself, so I had no choice but to kill your crow”
“They won’t ever leave me alone” I say while crying
He hugs me while I cry in his arms
I take the crow and take it to the river to wash it and try to revive it, I scrub and scrub staining my hands in its blood.
He sits next to me consoling me as best as he can
“This is your fault you know that” I say angrily
“If you only let it fly before, your crow wouldn’t be stuck inside my wolf, you should’ve just let it go, and I know it’s hard” he says in a calm Voice
He leaves to Cook me something to cheer me up
At dusk I see the reincarnation of my crow
A yellow bird half my size with eyes like black holes staring at me, waiting for me to lock it up inside another animal
“Maybe my husband was right, maybe this is a sign to let it all go”
I walk through the river I washed my crow in. leaving one burden to decompose and the other to fly
A door appears and my husband walks it with me
